Dressage Clinics

Two levels available and both designed to be fun and informative with emphasis upon improvement of both horse and rider. In addition, these sessions have proved to be a useful introducotry session for horses and riders planning to compete in the following months.

Level One

So... you have "dipped your toe in the water" but want to gain higher scores in your tests?

Or... you want to enter a competition but are uncertain how to ride a test or what you should be doing?

If this is the case then this clinic is for you!

Choosing a suitable test for you and your horse

Rider positional corrections

Working towards establishing the basic paces

Understanding the 'terminology' and some key phrases

Level Two

Improving previous tests and moving up the grades!

Rider accuracy and positinal corrections

Establishing and maintaining the 'outline' in all paces

Basic lateral work - encouraging lengthening etc

Working towards the 'Scales of Training'

Jumping Clinics

'Jump for Fun'

A confidence building session aimed at riders (and horses!) who are either inexperienced at jumping or 'rusty' combinations returning to jumping and simply in need of a gentle introduction! Riders must be secure and established in their basic flatwork position.

'See-a-Stride'

A gymnastic grid session aimed at horses and riders who are ready to improve their jumping technique and athleticism. Focus is upon improvement of rhythm, tempo and balance through the differing stages of jumping. Riders must be established in their basic flatwork and jumping position.

Combined Training Clinics

These can be arranged to combine both the above disciplines. Often suitable for a situation whereby a group of riders of similar standards with similar aims, would like to share a session. Can be tailor made to suit specific aims eg riders working towards team competitions or riders from the same location, sharing transport and just wishing to experience a day of 'independent' training.

Indoor X-Country Clinics

Really useful sessions which assist riders and horses in their preparation for further schooling and competition. Through use of indoor fences, the session aims to offer the opportunity to review and establish in a rider's mind, the differentiation needed in our approach to riding XC as opposed to SJ. A variety of fences are used to simulate the questions often met when riding across country- such as rider security and precision and how to overcome problematic fences such as ditches, coffins and skinnies ect!
